Auto Import One of the largest markets of car purchases in Cyprus each year is auto import. There are many reasons as to why many people look to foreign countries to make their car purchases. The expectation of the growth of auto imports is high with ever more fuel efficient automobiles being designed and manufactured and the ever increasing fuel costs. There are many people who are just looking for car that they want. These people want to find a car that offers all of the possible extras as well as providing good mileage at an affordable cost. It is of no concern to them as to where the car was manufactured as long as they can get what they want at the cheapest price possible. There are countries in the world where the labour cost and the manufacturing cost is much lower than the rest of the world. Therefore the final cost to purchase a car is far cheaper from these countries than any other. Domestic car manufacturers have suffered due to the auto import industry as they struggle to stay ahead of those foreign companies that can produce a car at a cheaper cost and therefore sell the car at a lower cost. Even with the shipping charges many cars can still work out cheaper to be purchased from abroad. Eventually it is possible that we will all feel the pain of the domestic car manufacturer struggling to stay afloat as we find many of us without work after some of these companies having to close down as they cannot compete in such an aggressive market.
